The Aftermath: Prediction Results

So I believe I owe you guys some results. I've double checked my math but please feel free to triple check and make sure everything makes sense. It's a lot of addition, and I think being a math major in college made me worse at addition.

Remember max of 40 points applies, lowest score is best.

AAA Top 25 Results:
RunFaster 208
Temzy 218
Forrest 224
GBC 237
etrain 265
WACKH 277 (but the only person to pick Brophy as champ which next year should be some type of bonus)
Evan 288
Sean 292
NJD 380

Hopefully I didn't miss anyone, those were all the top 25 I could find.

AA Top 25
Anonymous 262
etrain 301

And also this year I tried out the etrain v Jarrett challenge ... Jarrett dominated the predictions. Here were the results

A (Top 25)
Jarrett 220 v etrain 246 (18 v 16 medalists)

AA (Top 25/Top 35)
Jarrett 220/444 v etrain 301/519 (20 v 17 medalists)

AAA (Top 25/Top 50)
Jarrett 229/754 v etrain 265/917 (20 v 18 medalists)

Guys who defied the odds (this is a group of AAA guys that medaled at states that as far as I can tell, no one was predicting to medal on either padontplay or here):
Mike Kolor, 23rd
Spencer Smucker, 24th
Sean Weidner, 20th
Drew Wilkinson, 25th

Congrats to everyone on a great state meet! It was a series of fantastic runs as far as I can tell and I think everyone has a reason to be proud. Even qualifying for this meet is an impressive achievement.

  1. Also special shout out to my fantasy team! We got 5 guys in the medals this weekend and brought the title back to train town for the first time since 2011. Couldn't have done it without you boys.
