Dmr coming next so hit me up with squads you want to see involved!
Who is that Collins kid on SH that can go 1:52? Huemmler has been the best 800 person on that squad for a while.
ReplyDeleteThere are also 13 teams in a final of 12
DeleteManny Collins of SH split like a champion for their 4x8 squad. Frankly I'm not sure he ever split that fast, but I've heard of him splitting 1:54 and 1:55 along with 47 in the past...
DeleteAs for 13 teams in a final of 12, Etrain said he'd had the 4x8 team from CB of 2009 into the final for fun.
Lastly, Mallon split 1:49.2 on the team as a junior to get that record and ran 1:49.01 solo'd as a senior. With his rivalry with Lufebure, no way he would get Luke win this relay race... just my opinion. I think he would have pulled out the win for his squad.
Put CRN on the list for DRM's please :)
Huemmler gave me splits on that haven relay from 11 that had Collins in the 1:52-53 ball park
Deletespoiler alert, henderson is gonna win all three races.
ReplyDeletewasnt sure about the 4x8 but they did it.
dmr:
Russell-Hall-Lefebure-Barchet
2:58 to 49 to 1:51 to 4:09 = 9:47
4x1600
Stratman-Moy-Barchet-Russell
4:17 to 4:16 to 4:09 to 4:07 = 16:49
so yeah
Hall was a 50 point splitter and Russell would go 3 flat so that's 3 seconds to add on. I don't think they should have won the 4x8 like Forrest but will probably win the 4x1600. DMR is between them and O'Hara.
DeleteKevin James - 3:03.0
DeleteTyler Gallen - 47.5
Nick Smart - 1:52.1
Jim Belfatto - 4:11.0
Total: 9:53.6
And I think Russell could go 2:58, but 50. would be better with Hall putting them at an insane 9:48
Actually, Corey Brown ran 47.77 in the open 400, so he'd probably be able to split 47.2 or 47.3, giving them a bit less time
DeleteCorey Brown split around 46 low 45 high in the amazing comeback 4x4 win at states.
DeleteCorey Brown went 47.7 open in a PCL meet and he was chilling the last 75-ish meters. He split 46.4-ish at states when he made that crazy comeback. Even splitting at that 23-23. Honestly, I think he could have been better than Brady Gehret if he cared and wanted to continue running, but he was all about football so to each his own.

Almost positive brown is class of 2010 so not included but will double check
DeleteHall never split below a 51, I thought? Russell never went sub 3 in that 1200. I think Moy split a (not as fast as Russell) but fast (3:05ish?)1200 in the dmr at New Balance this year.
DeleteHall split 49. In a couple of 4x4s in some duel meets
DeleteJust a suggestion; I think there's enough coverage of pa high school running through blogs that it is getting a little stale.. I would love to see some national level blogging and especially would like to see D1 NCAA XC blogging. NCAA xc is a really untapped market for blogging and there is so much material and depth for intensive articles. Personally I would like the blog a lot more with some fresh material and posts.
ReplyDeleteWell if you look at the comprehensive work that Flotrack does this is why less of these blogs exists, plus a huge forum on letsrun.com
DeleteIt's the mistakes on Penntrack in the past that has created this market, for more stable information. Both the Northeast Regional and the Penntrack site messed up who is on North Allegheny's squad, and they are just using "5k" times aka who has run on the fastest courses. It works okay for track, but not for XC. If you look at Flotrack, their top 31 comprehensive teams made my Issac Woods is so thorough and well written, that a casual blogger such as Jarrett or I would have a difficult time keeping up.

I rotate through what I'm interested in ... I've discussed ncaa USA and world stuff as recently as last month so I spect things to pick up on that front this fall
DeleteLasalle 4x16, dmr
ReplyDeleteGreat Valley, O'Hara, Henderson, SH, LaSalle, Altoona, and CB Souths DMR.
ReplyDeleteAll will be involved
DeleteState College
ReplyDeleteCB East- Brand (3:13), Boucher (49), Brophy (1:54), Brophy (4:20)
ReplyDeleteI think if you switch Brand and J. Brophy the time would be better.
DeleteO'Hara Belfatto 3:02 Gallen 47.9 Smart 1:52 James 4:10
ReplyDeleteMt. Lebanon
ReplyDeleteNP: does miles/bernitts qualify? if not, Mccauley, trimble, gaibler and Grace.
ReplyDeleteLingering question from the guy above. When is the begin date of this all-team DMR? 2011 still or earlier? Assuming 2011 still.
ReplyDelete-RTJ
I am glad to see that CR South made it to the final(even though they came in last)
