Indoor Rankings #1

This should link up to an updated ranking sheet for indoors so far this year based on times run this season (and only based on times run this season). I converted everything to bank track marks just like the PTFCA will do with seeding. Without scratches, this is what the PTFCA state performance list would look like.

If anyone has questions or I missed someone let me know (for the record my numbers match exactly with the list penntrack produced today, but I've got names and it goes out a bit farther to account for scratches).

It's important to understand that there will not just be scratches, there will be SIGNIFICANT scratches. Here are my basically rules for guessing who will scratch.

Rule 1: If your best event/event you are focusing on is the 3k, you most likely are scratching the mile/8
Rule 2: If you are running the 4x8, you scratch the DMR and vice versa (obvious but worth mentioning)
Rule 3: If you have serious state title hopes in a relay, you are limiting your individual entries (if you are smart) and you are almost definitely not running the 3k.

There's other less obvious ones but at this point these basics should help you do some mental math about what the fields might look like.

Let me know if the link doesn't work or if you got questions. Hope this gives a very early state picture.

  1. Do you think Brophy will double 3k then do DMR or 4x8? Will Webb do the same? Or will they sacrifice individual medals for the relay?
