  2. Definitely think Wisner is gonna have a breakout 1600 in this one. He's my pick for the win.

  3. Winning time for the 4x800m: 7:59.2

  4. So, pretty much a total homer pick here for the 800, but, I think I can also back it up reasonably.
    1: Ethan Gatchell-1:54.35
    2: Matt Wisner-1:54.96
    3: Zach Brehm-1:55.12
    4: Brad Foust-1:55.25
    5: Brett George-1:57.88

Looking at this field, the two biggest threats to Ethan Gatchell are clearly Brehm and Wisner. However, they are both entered in the mile as well, so they'll be competing on tired legs. The same is the case for Brad Foust. Given Ethan will be fresh, I think he'll take the win, and I think it will be quick. Behind him I see Wisner and Brehm taking 2nd and 3rd, pulled along to pretty good times by Ethan. Foust has a pretty solid resume, so I have to go with him in 4th, and then I think Brett George will benefit from a fast field and get pulled to a pr.

    1. I'd be pleasantly surprised if the race is that fast for this time of year. Can't imagine the doublers producing 1:55s, but I could get surprised. I always seem to underestimate guys on the double.

    2. I am admittedly a little optimistic with the times, and if the weather isn't good they go out the window. However, I think this race will be pretty hot, especially since it's the first chance for a bunch of these d3 guys to race each other.

  5. Why does everyone think Wisner will beat Brehm?

    1. I'm kinda surprised that everyone has just handed the keys to Wisner. Even though I think Wisner will win (he beat Brehm already this year and has had a whole indoor season to tune up), I'm really surprised no one wants to take the guy who has run 4:07 and won two state titles.

    2. I think that Wisner is better than Brehm at this point in the season. Brehm is notorious for coming on really strong later in the season, Wisner has been solid since indoor.

  6. I see wisner winning the 8 no matter what. He has the best training and speed to back up the double at this point in the season. I think it'll be much more interesting to see what happens between him and brehm in the mile when theyre both fresh and in a fast race situation.

  7. Check out the CAL Dual Meet Results. Unbelievable times for a inter-league meet! Donavan and JJ Teal 49.16 and 50.46 and Penncrest 3:24 4x400

  8. Ship will be a great meet but don't overlook the Warrior Invite, that meet may just end up having the better performances.

    1. The Warrior 1600 is stacked. The 800 isn't too shabby either.

    2. Looks like I missed the boat on that one ... Should be a fun one as usual from Coach K
