Well ladies and gents, the NCAA Top 50 List is finally complete with in depth analysis on each runner. It was surprisingly more effort than I expected it to be and I now have a new-found appreciation for the rankings that Etrain puts up every year. Recently, the blog has experienced some very nice growth after being mentioned on LetsRun and gaining a solid amount of followers on Twitter (@TheRealTrain11). I’ve had a lot of feedback from you guys and have had some excellent debates, which is awesome so keep it coming!

-Who
is your favorite to win the Great Lakes region? West region?
-What
are your top 10 teams looking like? My top teams list will be up in a couple of

Great blog. Know any bloggers that cover D3 cross country?
ReplyDeleteThanks, we appreciate it! I unfortunately do not know any D3 blogs but I can't speak for the other writers. Our hope is to find a way to incorporate more D3/D2 coverage although with only so many writers and most of staff starting classes again this fall, it will be tough to be on top of it. Keep checking for updates and hopefully that changes soon!
DeleteWhat region are you looking for? Or just overall?
DeleteSomething similar to what is done for D1; an overall review, rankings of top teams, top individuals...
DeleteHow large is the reader base for this website? With the D1 rankings I think it could attract a lot of new readers. Just needs some more press.
Thanks
I can't say I know a blog like that, but I'll be sure to keep an eye out for it. If something does come up, we'll recommend it on our twitter page (@TheRealTrain11). As for the viewership, we are currently hitting around 800-1000 a day in what is now considered as our "down season" for viewership. However, we have been going through some excellent growth in the past couple of months. Jarrett Felix started the blog as a PA high school site and has done an outstanding job at expanding it these past few years. We truly believe this blog could be a "go-to" read for the XC and track world. Like you said, we just need more press.
DeleteThanks for reading and keep an eye out for the other material our writers have! Alex Fox has a nice piece coming soon as well as the Liberty Mile recap from Evan Hatton.
What, no Tony Russell?
ReplyDeleteLol if Tony's still even on the team
DeleteRussell is no longer listed on the Penn State roster.
DeleteWow he seems to be doing real well then
DeleteIs there the possibility that Russell transferred and is going to run elsewhere?
DeleteNo. Tony was still on the Penn State campus as of 5 days ago. Several events occurred culminating in Tony being asked to leave the team. At this point it looks like his running career is over.
DeleteWhat an article have you ever thought about becoming a professional GIF?
