Live Discussion Night!

We will have the comment system ready to go for live discussion from 8 to 9 pm tonight! Hopefully we get some conversation going! Feel free to start early or stay late, but the live window will be about 8 to 9.

Some things you may want to discuss:
Penn Relays Predictions
- Who will be the top PA schools in each relay?
- Who will be our top miler or 3k guy?
- What will Andrew Hunter split on the DMR?
- Will PA leave with a COA wheel/watch this year in any of the 4 distance events?

Early State Predictions
- Who Runs What?
- Does DT West win yet again?
- Which meet records may be in trouble?

Bold Predictions
- Who are your sleepers?
- What's the fast time no one will see coming?

And whatever else you want!

  1. Has any team ever won XC, Indoor and Outdoor in the same year?

    1. So this question was asked earlier and I tried to dig a little for an answer. I don't think there has been anybody in the last decade who pulled it off. North Penn got XC and Indoors in 2007-2008 but Altoona denied them the outdoor title. After that, I'm not sure anybody has gotten XC paired with the track. Really hard to win a track title on distance talent alone.

  2. It looks like it is shaping up to be a fast trio in the mile. How do you rank Hoey, Hoey, and Kolor.
Personally Jaxson, Josh, Kolor all sub 4:10

    1. I think this could go any number of ways on any given day. Jaxson, if running his best would get my nod. But he really struggled at indoor nats and Raleigh a few weeks ago. I'm sure it's just a bump in the road though. Josh dropped the big 1:54 but Kolor ended the indoor season ahead of him in the mile by a few seconds I believe. Kolor seems really consistent to me, never seems to have the shocking time drop but never really has a bad race. Jaxson 4:09, Kolor 4:11, Josh 4:14. Let's not forget Dahl who could easily be right there in the 4:10-4:14 range.

    1. Did he have a qualifying time from this past indoors/early outdoors? Not sure you can technically get in without one even though obviously his 800/last year's mile prove he is plenty worthy.

  4. How about This: Hockenbury doesn't win states this year. One of the guys from out west get him. Not sure who, but don't see him winning it this year. - 7isHeaven

  5. This is a repeat of trains prediction against hock in XC. Due to his racing style he is a popular person to pick against but after the nbn 5k I say if he stays healthy he wins.

  6. I love the question of what will Hunter split in the Penn relays DMR. I'd like to see him split 3:59...and it not be enough. Not even bothering to hide my PA bias, the DTW DMR based just on potential seems capable of flirting with sub 10:00. The Hoey's are outstanding and yet neither may even be the best guy on that relay as McLemore is phenomenal in the 400. If all healthy then Josh in the 1200, Jaxson the 1600 and Barton, Sappey or someone else getting at least to 1:57 would certainly be a heck of a team and at least on paper right there with 2014 O'Hara and WCH. But even if all healthy, and all running at or near their best, and if they skipped the individual events and focused solely on the DMR, a sub 4:00 anchor in Hunter is probably just about unbeatable. But it'd make some great drama if it happens.
