Gone in 60 Seconds

Want a pos you can read in a minute? Here's my six 10 second thoughts after last night's Armory meet ...

1. Conestoga is rapidly gaining momentum in their DMR quest. I think a completely fresh relay at states is in play. A 3k for Marston is highly unlikely now.

2. Bensalem will stay relevant in the 4x8. 8:11 for the name seems to just be the next domino to fall in preparation for an onslaugt on the state performance list. I'm seeing a big shake up these next couple weeks.

3. Patrick Grant is quietly on fire. Crushes it to win in 4:23 and finds himself among the non-Ritz state leaders. Great news for his individual medal potential. Huge news for a LaSalle DMR state championship run.

4. What's GFS going to do? Hepp and Dahl can compete with the best from 8 through 3k and it looks like every second will count in a DMR that is getting slowly stacked out front. I'm leaning towards completely fresh GFS squad on the line, but that may depend on if they pull an 800m leg out.

5. Alex Kim might be the best runner you have never heard of. Underrated XC season and strong 4:32 last night. Just a soph as well (edit: not true, dude's a senior). Independent league guys like this often sneak up on us so don't be another statistic.

6. Still upset that Russell Wilson threw that pick. That Kearse catch would have been Tyree 2.0 but waaay better (mainly cause I hate the Gaints) and now it's just something that got my hopes up.
