Blog readers, the track and field community has me to reach out to you again regarding an issue over at Elizabethtown. Here's a synopsis straight from the people involved:
The proposed Sport, Fitness, & Wellness Center on campus includes an undersized indoor facility. This means the facility would be unable to be used for competition and would be limited in its use for training. Elizabethtown needs a new student center and it is important that it is done right. Having a regulation track would allow Etown to attract more prospective students and it would allow Etown to make money by hosting meets. From the plans I have seen the building needs to be extended by 10 meters to fit a regulation track. Please let the administration know that cutting corners is not a solution.
Etown has a nice program and is worth adding as a college choice.
