  1. There is going to be a HUGE sleeper team that makes it. Probably a team that you might not have mentioned. There is just so many teams in this deep district, I am truly expecting one of the biggest, if not the biggest shocker of a qualifying team come Friday.

  3. I thought you made a great point about how wide open the AA team landscape is. I'm always thinking of AAA, and I forgot about that division. But the team battle there is arguably more intriguing than AAA. I'd say Dallas gets the benefit of the doubt and is the favorite. Then you have York Suburban, whose become their nemesis the past few years. I figured Wyomissing would just be the Joe Cullen Show, but they have become so much more than that. I love that top 3. The WPIAL always has great smaller school teams, and it's no different this year. Indiana has really rose to the occasion with their solid pack, but Greensburg Salem has the front-running to counter. Grove City is the class of D10, and they might be the most complete top 5. Finally, I think Central Cambria is getting overlooked big time. I loved what they did at their league meet. Overall, I would not be surprised to see any of these squads on the podium in a few weeks. I will be sure to pay some serious attention to this race at Hershey, and I hope all the other readers do as well.

    1. Those Penncrest Sophomores Theveny, Narbus and Woolery keep getting better. Much like the Sophomores Koors, Maher and Twomey of LaSalle. All six of them came up together in the Philadelphia CYO XC program. That program keeps producing high quality HS XC talent. Look at the top 9th grade 5k times this year, you'll see Fitzgerald from Oxford and Hess from Malvern Prep. Both Philly CYO alums.
