--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
50. Chase Weaverling, Junior, Virginia (-4/46)
-Chase Weaverling had a very tough time this past weekend. He placed 36th at the Adidas XC Challenge against a field where he should've been top 5. There's not too many excuses for placing 36th overall, but like everyone else, I'm willing to give him another chance to stay on the list.

49. Nick Tuck, Senior, Penn (+1/50)

48. Michael Williams, Junior, Washington State (+1/49)
-Williams gets a solid 2nd place finish at the Sundodger Invite which was essentially just a dual meet with Washington. Gilbert got the win, but Williams showed that he was fit by defeating Gardner (UW) and Whelan (WSU) for 2nd.

47. Brian Barraza, Senior, Houston (+1/48)

46. Joel Hubbard, Senior, Syracuse (+1/47)

45. Jack Bruce, Junior, Arkansas (0/45)

44. Iliass Aouani, Sophomore, Syracuse (0/44)

43. Jaime Perales, Senior, Eastern Kentucky (0/43)

42. Luke Traynor, Senior, Tulsa (0/42)

41. Matthew Schwartzer, Rs. Senior, Indiana (0/41)
-Schwartzer placed 3rd at Indiana's own hosted meet. The Hoosiers pack was pretty close and the field didn't seem too competitive. I imagine Indiana took this meet a bit easier than they usually would have.

40. Andrew Rafla, Rs. Sophomore, Boise State (0/40)

39. Travis Neuman, Senior, Oregon (0/39)
-Neuman underwhelmed in his season debut by placing 19th at the Bill Dellinger Invite. Oregon typically takes this meet on the easier side so I'll let it go. I was just hoping for a better start.

38. Frankline Tonui, Senior, Arkansas (-2/36)
-This weekend was pretty disappointing for Arkansas in general. Tonui was supposed to the leader on this team and was one of the favorites to win at Beantown. Instead, he placed 8th overall and was the second scorer on his team. It may be early on in the season, but this was a very manageable field for Tonui and I don't think Arkansas took it as a workout.

37. Darren Fahy, Senior, Georgetown (+1/38)

36. MJ Erb, Senior, Mississippi (+1/37)

35. Ben Flanagan, Senior, Michigan (0/35)

34. Joel Reichow, Senior, South Dakota State (0/34)

33. Colby Gilbert, Junior, Washington (0/33)
-Gilbert defeats Michael Williams, teammate Andrew Gardner, and John Whelan to earn the win at the Sundodger Invite. Nothing too exciting, but it's clear that Gilbert is in great shape after taking down Williams.

32. Michael Vennard, Junior, Boise State (0/32)

31. Dallin Farnsworth, Sophomore, BYU (0/31)

30. Philo Germano, Senior, Syracuse (0/30)

29. Kieran Clements, Rs. Senior, Iona (0/29)

28. Gilbert Kirui, Junior, Iona (0/28)

27. Amon Terer, Senior, Campbell (0/27)
-Terer is 3rd behind Kipkoech and Mulenga at Adidas XC Challenge. I would've like to see Campbell go 1-2, but Mulenga is a name on the rise and it's still super early on in the season.

26. Cerake Geberkidane, Junior, Oklahoma State (0/26)

25. Micheal Clevenger, Rs. Senior, Georgetown (0/25)

24. Lawrence Kipkoech, Rs. Sophomore, Campbell (0/24)

-Kipkoech grabs a great win over Mulenga and Terer at the Adidas XC challenge. We'll see how he does at the bigger meets, but he's off to a great start.

23. Chartt Miller, Junior, Iona (0/23)

22. George Parsons, Senior, NC State (0/22)

21. Jacob Thomson, Rs. Junior, Kentucky (0/21)

20. Kyle Eller, Senior, Air Force (0/20)

19. Morgan McDonald, Junior, Wisconsin (0/19)

18. Henry Wynne, Senior, Virginia (0/18)

17. Dylan Lafond, Senior, Illinois (0/17)

16. Ben Saarel, Senior, Colorado (0/16)

15. Edwin Kibichiy, Rs. Senior, Louisville (0/15)
-Kibichiy snagged a win at the Commodore Classic this past weekend. The field wasn't very deep, but he was challenged throughout the entire race by freshman Jacob Choge of Mid. Tenn. State.

14. Jacob Burcham, Senior, Oklahoma (0/14)

13. Jerrell Mock, Junior, Colorado State (0/13)

12. Jefferson Abbey, Senior, Colorado State (0/12)

11. Malachy Schrobilgen, Senior, Wisconsin (0/11)

10. John Dressel, Sophomore, Colorado (0/10)

9. Colin Bennie, Junior, Syracuse (0/9)

8. Jonah Koech, Sophomore, UTEP (0/8)
-Koech cruises to 2nd beside his teammate at the Kachina Classic.

7. Jonathan Green, Junior, Georgetown (0/7)

6. Grant Fisher, Sophomore, Stanford (0/6)

5. Sean McGorty, Senior, Stanford (0/5)

4. Justyn Knight, Junior, Syracuse (0/4)

3. Futsum Zienasellassie, Rs. Senior, NAU (0/3)

2. Patrick Tiernan, Rs. Senior, Villanova (0/2)

1. Edward Cheserek, Senior, Oregon (0/1)

Biggest Surprise of the Week

Chase Weaverling, Junior, Virginia

MVP of the Week
Lawrence Kipkoech, Rs. Sophomore, Campbell

Notes
-It is still very early on in the season and the meets haven't been too competitive yet. Guys on the 'Just Miss' list will have a shot to be ranked within the next week or two.
-Weaverling gets 'Biggest Surprise of the Week' for his unexpected 36th place finish.
-Kipkoech gets MVP of the Week for getting a win at (arguably) the most competitive meet of the weekend.
