Unfortunately, I won't be there, I'll be way up north. Best place to go for live results is the piaa.org website actually. They have quick links for all the events as they finish. And of course twitter from the penntrack crew and others.
here is that link: https://www.piaa.org/sports/championship_details.aspx?sport=track and yes penntrack's twitter has been great so far to start the day !!
best of luck to all the athletes competing, it's going to be a really exciting weekend no questions about that !!!
(also loved loved loved the etrain and rjjl writing this week. really fantastic stuff from both of you. thanks so much! it's literally a pleasure to read this site)
I think Souderton also has a shot right? Scott in the hurdles, a jumper and McMenamin could get to 30 or so potentially. Do we know if there is anywhere where the team scores are posted during the competition? That's gonna be hard for me to keep track of without it
It's now between Coatesville, Carlisle and Aydan Owens. Although the way this has been going for some of the contenders, Affolder and Kole will probably run into each other and fall down in the 1600.
Carlisle is sitting on 26 points and it looks like that's going to be enough. Aydan Owens can't get there now and it's doesn't look like Coatesville can either.
Just like last year the team that won the championship was the team who took some chances with their distance runners. Last year it was State College that did it, this year it was Carlisle.
Is Train going to State? Live updates?

Is any team actually trying to win this thing?
ReplyDeleteShanahan not getting their 4x400 or 4x100 through to the finals is huge. They still have the 800, 300 hurdles and 400 and 200 but that's about it.
DeleteCarlisle didn't have a big day but they still have the high jump, 3200 and 1600.
Pennridge had a pretty good day but needs a huge day tomorrow.
Who does that leave, Milton Hershey?
Could Aydan Owens of North Allegheny win the state championship by himself?

DeleteCBW and Shanahan probably could have had a great shot at the team win
DeleteTrain nails all AAA winners.
