Keep in mind these rankings include up through the Chesmont results. I'm really looking forward to some of these other league meets, I feel like they really bring out the best competitive juices in one another.
We are getting down to the wire with Leagues, Districts and States and my hope is we will keep bringing you lots to chew on.
In my opinion, Nick Dahl should've fallen way more spots than he did. Could you please describe why you keep him so high, despite his showing at Manhattan

DeleteThat's a fair question. You can certainly make an argument for a few guys to jump him this week, but I looked into Dahl's Bowdoin Park race (where he won in 16:19 over a few guys who bested him this weekend) and I thought it was a pretty solid result. He ran within 5 seconds of the time Sami Aziz ran to make nationals in 2012 and he did it in a winning effort in September. This combined with Dahl's overall resume (Oakbourne was great, track credentials are off the charts) gave me the confidence to keep in the top 10 rather than put too much stock in one race. I think he could be a few spots lower for sure, but I'd have a really hard time dropping him below 12th.
