Individual:
It shouldn't be any surprise that Justyn Knight is the favorite in this race. He has been dominating all season and there's been no sign that he is slowing down. Unless he is planning to conserve energy, then there should be no reason he can't win this.
There will, however, be guys there to make him work for it. Iona is returning Chartt Miller and he is hungry to go at in his first competitive race of the season. Along with Kirui and Clements, Iona could give Knight some trouble (especially over 10k). That said, most of these guys are going to be focused on getting their squads qualified for nationals. Don't expect to see many gutsy or risky moves being made.
Team
Syracuse and Iona know that they if they do their job they should have their qualifying spots locked up. I imagine Iona will be a bit more tame in their pursuit for the team title as they attempt to keep their focus on NCAA's. Syracuse will be looking for a confidence booster before the Big Dance and a strong win at regionals could do the trick.
Projected for 3rd in the region is Providence who has shown some solid potential so far this season. The odds are stacked against them, but they could pull off a big-time upset if Iona or Syracuse aren't careful.
