Individual
The guys fighting the individual title will also be the ones fighting for the team title. Futsum is the favorite after his 2nd place finish at Wisconsin. However, the shocking Colorado win at PAC-12's was because of the strong front-running from Saarel and Dressel. These three will most likely be the ones pursuing the individual win.

However, there are also individuals with a lot more to lose out. Jerrell Mock and Jonah Koech aren't part of programs that are guaranteed to make nationals. They'll be gunning for the win in hopes that they can help their team's lower their score lower in any way they can.

Team
After NAU won Wisconsin and Colorado won PAC-12's they will almost definitely be safe in terms of qualifying for nationals. Of course, that won't matter as they are the two best teams across the board and will take the top two spots. 3rd place will most likely go to BYU who almost definitely have enough Kolas points to get into the NCAA meet.

The real story starts for the 4th place team. UTEP has done well this season, but out of all the teams they beat at Notre Dame (where they placed 2nd), only two of them are projected to earn automatic qualifying spots to NCAA's. UTEP is going to need a big-time race and hope that their final scorers can survive the 10k battle.

The scenario is a little bit brighter for Colorado State as they were able to earn a significant number of Kolas points at Wisconsin. Still, their efforts at Roy Griak and the Washington Invite didn't seem to produce many points at all.

If UTEP ends up losing to CSU, then there is a good chance that Colorado State will make NCAA's and that UTEP won't.
