Individual
Although it's not as clear-cut at some other regions, it looks like two low-sticks gunning for the title. Hassan Abdi is coming off of a conference race where he finished 3rd after losing BOTH of his shoes. He will have to battle a red-hot Luke Traynor who is coming off of an 11th place finish at Wisconsin and a 1st place finish at AAC's.

We should also be watching Dylan Lafond who has struggled the entire regular season. Luckily, he showed some promising signs at BIG 10's where he placed 10th overall. If he can build off of that race, then he should be able to qualify for NCAA's.

Team
Just like every other year, Oklahoma State is the favorite to win the regional title. The Cowboys held off a surging ISU squad without Geberkidane. If he returns this weekend, then the task of defeating the men in neon orange will only get harder.

Even if they can't pull off the win, ISU should be able to claim the 2nd auto-qualifying spot. They've got guys running at the front and some really solid depth to back them up. However, Tulsa and Minnesota are programs that peak in the post-season. Last year, we saw Minnesota shake up the Kolas Calculator by grabbing the 2nd auto-spot...something that was not expected to happen at all.
